One of our most rugged welders, the ERE, RWMA Size 2, gives you simplified versatility and dependability, allowing you to switch from spot to projection welding with an absolute minimum of changeover time. ERE
  • A hardened and ground steel ram, guided by eight antifriction rollers to ensure positive alignment, minimize deflection and reduce friction.
  • Exceptionally low friction air cylinders: 8″ Bore -for 12″ mach-only • 7″ Bore -for 12″ & 18″ mach-only • 6″ Bore -For 12″, 18″ & 36″ mach-only.
  • Spot welders available in 18, 24 and 36 inch throat depths, Projection welders in 12, 18 and 30″.
  • Four inch ram stroke.
  • Air pressure regulator gauge and force chart.
  • Speed control valves to control ram movement down and up.
  • Air exhaust muffler.
  • Four transformer sizes – 75, 100, 150 and 200 kva operating on either 230 or 460 volts, 60 Hz (not both).
  • Built-in 8 step tap switch.
  • Single stage foot switch.
  • Style #1 upper and lower T-slotted platens. Style #5 upper (2-3/4″ dia) and lower (4″ dia) solid round horns with electrodes and holders.
  • Lower horn brace (Only on Style #5 welders of 36″ spot throat depth or more).
  • Hydraulic jack for raising and lowering the knee.
  • Hoses for cooling water exit at rear of frame for connecting to supply and drain.

Short circuit values (plus or minus 10%), measured at 8″ platen spacing with 3″ diameter copper shorting bar on centerline of platens of projection welders; and at 8″ horn spacing and copper shorting bar substituted for electrode holders in spot welders.
Control operating voltage will be same as welder power supply unless otherwise specified.
Solenoid valve voltage will be 115 volts ac.
Initiating switch voltage will be 115 volts or less.

Force System Options

  • Gravity ram drop with electrical interlock

  • 4-1/2″ air gauge calibrated in pounds weld force.
  • Precision air pressure regulator.
  • Adjustable stroke cylinder, 4″ maximum stroke (specify size 6″, 7″ or 8″). Adjustable-retractable stroke cylinder, 4″ maximum stroke, foot switch and solenoid valve controlled (specify size 6″, 7″ or 8″).
  • Seal-off airlock, single pressure (includes precision air regulator and air tank).
  • Seal-off airlock, double pressure fixed ratio (includes precision air regulator and air tank).
  • Variable ratio double pressure airlock, in place of fixed ratio.
  • Lockout mechanism for single or double pressure airlocks.

Electrodes and Horn Options

  • Standard (90 degree) upper and lower square horns, electrode holders, and electrodes to convert Style 1 to Style 1-A.
  • Standard (90 degree) upper and lower round horns, electrode holders, and electrodes to convert Style 1 modified to Style 1-A modified.
  • Universal (90 degree – 22-1/2 degree) upper and lower square horns, electrode holders and electrodes to convert Style 1 to Style 1-A.
  • Universal (90 degree – 22-1/2 degree) upper and lower round horns for Style 5 welder in place of standard.
  • Lower horn brace (Standard on Style 5 welders of 36″ spot throat depth and larger).

Transformer Options

  • Series-Parallel tap switch (Low-high ranges).
  • Re connectable dual voltage (230/460) welding transformer

  • Special transformer for full 220v output at 208 v.

Cooling System Options

  • Water system with inlet and outlet manifolds, flow adjusting valves, with or without flow indicators.
  • Quick change hose couplings in hoses to both electrode holders.
  • Water saver valve, solenoid operated by heat on/off switch.
  • Water system with inlet manifold, open drain water tunnel and flow adjusting valves.

Tooling Options

  • Mechanical safety ram latch with non-repeat, non-tie down palm buttons (For use with standard cylinder only).
  • Manual tool slide with limit switch, Style 1 only (dual palm buttons required).
  • Tilt-out knee, Style 1 only (dual palm buttons required).

Initiation and Control Options

  • Two stage foot switch
  • Dual non-repeat, non-tie down palm buttons – one stage with or without foot switch and keyed selector switch.
  • Additional foot switch, for use with dual weld schedule.
  • Heat on/off switch.
